The Family Help Center combines immediate response with the provision of concrete services for families experiencing issues of child abuse and neglect. Simultaneous, multiple interventions focus on improving coping skills, educating parents on child development, facilitating bonding and communication with children, and increasing parents’ ability to approach helping resources. Family need and individual service plans dictate the combination of services provided.
Three service levels are available through the Family Help Center: Core Services, Preventive Services and Specialized Services. Our Core Services serve families at all levels of risk of abuse/neglect, while the two Preventive Services components serve families at the highest risk of abuse/neglect, as well as out-of-home placement.
