The Joan A. Male Family Support Center philosophy is that the child is best served by meeting the physical and emotional needs of the parent. The focus of services is parent development based on the premise that the parents’ increased sense of confidence and self-esteem will enhance their capacity to achieve their own goals and, therefore, better care for their children.
